I’m Mike, a single Christian guy in the Seattle area. As far as work goes… I’m a video cameraman & editor. It’s a family business, just me and Dad at the moment. We do mostly educational, industrial and religious videos. I’ve traveled around the country numerous times working on video projects… I’ve even gone to Kenya, Africa where I worked on a video about a Missionary Couple.
I love to travel. Back in my younger days… lol… I did quite a lot of it. There was a 7 year period, over which I averaged being on the road over 2 days out of every week. Of course some of those trips were LONG, like 3 months or so long. Other times I would be sent last minute with work to go some place to shoot. Oh, those were the days…lol.
I’ve been almost everywhere it seems… not really… but close… at least in the United States. I’ve been to 49 States… only one I haven’t made it to yet is Alaska. Being this close to Canada, it’s no wonder I’ve been there numerous times. I’ve also made it to Mexico, more than just the border towns, and Guatemala. You can also count me as lucky to have crossed the oceans, on both sides to travel as well. I’ve been to England, France, Kenya and the Philippines.
5 Places I’d like to visit…
1. Australia
2. Alaska
3. Ireland
4. Germany
5. China
I’ve loved this story since I first read it.
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together….
